Workshop on Blue Ocean Strategy at IoBM

The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) of the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) held a workshop on “Using Blue Ocean Strategy & Balanced Score Card in Higher Education Institutions & Developing Procedures as per Self-Assessment Manual Requirement” at the Entrepreneurial and Management Excellence (EMEC), IoBM, on May 12, 2016, according to IoBM Public Affairs Section.

Mr. Talib Karim, Rector, IoBM, delivered the welcome address followed by Dr. Irfan Hyder, Dean, CBM, introducing the objective of the workshop to the participants. A number of presentations were delivered during this workshop. These included ‘Value Innovation (Blue Ocean Strategy) with Audience Simulation Activity’ delivered by Mr. Javaid Ahmed, Senior Fellow, Marketing Department, IoBM; ‘Use of Balanced Score Card in Industry & HEI’, jointly presented by Mr. Ekhlaque Ahmed, faculty member of IoBM’s Marketing Department, and Mr. Naim Ilyas, ‎Senior Director, Corporate Strategy & Planning at Ephlux. Professor Dr. Akhlaq Ahmed, Director QEC, IoBM, and Mr. Muhammad Moinuddin Ali Khan, Senior Fellow, Head of Quality Enhancement and Supply Chain & Logistics Management, IoBM also delivered presentations.

The workshop was largely attended by the faculty and HoDs of IoBM. Moreover, faculty and QEC members of various other business management institutions were also invited to the event, while some participated in the workshop via video conferencing.
