He defined corruption as the misuse of authority for your personal gains. Furthermore, he said that a lack of honesty in your everyday life also results in corruption. He clarified that corruption is not a word used only for politicians and influential people, anyone can be corrupt if they are dishonest. Haroon Rasheed advised students to focus on their studies, to have command over current affairs and general knowledge apart from the courses they study at the university. He called to bring transparency to all government processes. He said that corruption will reduce if concerned authorities implement simple procedures of submitting documents and completing legalities. People seek an easy way out when the processes become complicated.
