Young entrepreneurs to gain from ‘Amazon’
The Marketing Department of the Institute of Business Management organized a session “How to build your E-commerce business on Amazon from Pakistan” on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Entrepreneurship and Management Excellence Center (EMEC), IoBM. It was organized amid the guidance of Marketing Department’s Mr. Ekhlaque Ahmed, HoD and Ms. Kausar Saeed, Associate Professor, mentor and faculty. This program was well-attended by IoBM HoDs, faculty, students and management.
The resource person on this occasion was Mr. Sunny Ali, founder and CEO, Extreme Commerce, who established this company to enable young entrepreneurs of Pakistan to build their online business on Amazon. Mr. Sunny’s vision 2020 for Pakistan is to create 10,000 Amazon FBA (fulfillment by Amazon) Entrepreneurs to generate USD 1 billion of annual revenue adding into Pakistan’s economy. These Amazon FBA Entrepreneurs will create employment opportunities for 50,000 people thus creating and building an ecosystem of Amazon entrepreneurs and skilled work force making Pakistan future e-commerce back office capital of the world.
Such queries were addressed as “How to get your Amazon account up and running and making sales successfully when you don’t even live in US or Europe? What makes Amazon so different from Ebay?; What to sell? How to source? How to sell?; Without traveling and without touching the physical goods, how can you get your stock reach all the way to Amazon warehouses? How to leverage Amazon fulfillment network throughout North America and Europe?”
