IoBM students learn essence of social entrepreneurship

A social entrepreneurship session was organized by students of BS Social Entrepreneurship, Institute of Business Management (IoBM) at the Entrepreneurship and Management Excellence Center (EMEC) on Thursday, April 12, 2018. The event was presided by Dr. Syed Irfan Hyder, Dean, CBM and CES, IoBM and was held amid the guidance of Ms. Misbah Iqbal, Senior Lecturer Accounting and Finance and Coordinator BS Social Entrepreneurship and Social Leadership, IoBM.

Invited to speak at this session was Dr. Jaweed Mukarram Siddiqui, Chairman and Managing Director, Tooba Pharmaceuticals, a social enterprise in New Delhi, India. He presented the business model of his company, a low-cost pharmaceutical business aimed to help the underprivileged population. Also invited was Mr. Zohaib Faizi, Team Lead, Corporate Communication and Marketing, Indus Hospital, who delivered a presentation on The Indus Hospital. Mr. Noman Mehmood, Lecturer, Entrepreneurship Department, IoBM and Ms. Bazla Ali Khan, Research Assistant, BS Entrepreneurship, IoBM played an instrumental role in organizing this session.
