Industrial Lecture and 2nd IAB Meeting at IoBM

The Electrical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Sciences (CES), IoBM held two events at the EMEC Conference Room on Thursday, October 3, 2019. These included an Industrial Lecture followed by the 2nd Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) Meeting. From IoBM, Dr. Seema Ansari, Associate Dean CES; Dr. M Imran Majid, Associate Professor and HoD, Electrical Engineering played a key role in organizing these events.

Industrial Lecture

These lectures were organized in accordance with IoBM’s strategic plan to enhance the student experience in academics and research through technology. The Institute’s Electrical Engineering Department and the Society of Eglence & Technologies (SET) collaborated with the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Karachi, IET on Campus NED and Engineering Society to organize this event. The IET has been inspire, inform and influence the global engineering community to engineer a better world. As a diverse home across engineering and technology, IET shares knowledge that helps make better sense of the world in order to solve the challenges that matter. It’s why IET are uniquely placed to champion engineering. “IET Karachi Network” is one of local networks of IET. Mr. Talib Karim, President IoBM has been envisioning a closer linkage between the industry and academics. These lectures, therefore, aided to the President’s vision.

During these lectures, Zafar Faridi, Chairman IET Karachi delivered a presentation about On-campus activities for IoBM.
