EMEC organizes a workshop on Digital Asset Performance Management

The Entrepreneurship and Management Excellence Center (EMEC) at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM) organized a workshop on Digital Asset Performance Management. It was based on the theme: Using Data Models and Analytics to monitor Machine Health. The workshop was held at the EMEC Conference Room, IoBM on Monday, November 4, 2019. Mr. Mehboob Karim, Subject Matter Advisor for Digital Asset Performance Management (DAPM) was invited as the key resource person. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. He is a recipient of the Sergio Guy Award 2005 presented by PEMAC to outstanding engineering and maintenance practitioners of Canada.

This workshop addressed provided the participants with a practical methodology to evaluate organizations’ readiness for companies that envision a digital transformation. The workshop was customized for mid-career professionals and senior managers from varied disciplines including maintenance, operations, engineering, supply chain, IT among others.

The goal of this objective was to provide organizations with a methodology to successfully evaluate their digital transformation readiness based on people, processes, technology and data. The participants acquired knowledge related to understanding digital transformation, understand challenges of a digital transformation, how to perform digital readiness audit and how to use data analytics in asset performance management among others.

Abid Ali, Ahmed Aftab, Junaid Hamid, Naveed Rabbani, M. Khaleeq-ur-Rahman Siddiqui, Azhar Jamil and Tayyab Saeed were the participants who represented Hub Power. S.M Taha Hasan Zaidi represented Omar Jibran Engineering Industries Ltd while Saqib Nisar, S. Akif Ali, Ihsaan Yaseen and Usama Naveed were from PSPC.
